The creation of ACM dates back from 1954, when Albert and Marthe Charpentier founded their shipyard in Cabourg (Calvados). From 1961 onwards, ACM has revolutionized the naval construction building in composite polyester/balsafor which ACM obtains the « European label for Nautical Safety » thanks to the unsinkability it guarantees to the boats built in compliance to this label.

In the mid-70s, the ACM 1200 and 980 are being built. The latter model is built in 160 copies and delivered to the French customs as well as to other countries for coastal surveillance purposes (Mauritania, The Comoros, Guinea, Togo). At that time, around 30 to 40 boats are built each year and they are spread between the faithful fans and the Administration (customs, French police, and affaires maritimes).

In 1997, the company leaves Cabourg to settle in Colombelles and a new range of 8 to 14 meters yachts is launched : l’Héritage (8 meters) , l’Elite (10 meters), l’Excellence (12 meters) et la Dynasty (14 meters).

Since 2004, the company has been reviving the inner values instilled by the founding couple, by reducing the product range to 2 models and by presenting a “customized” offer thus allowing the personalisation of any yacht. This approach is synonymous with client satisfaction and client retention.

The Excellence 38 TR can therefore be equipped with a kitchen on the main deck or on the lower deck, the cockpit being totally designed according to the clients’ wishes… and both the design department and the shipyard craftmen are at your disposal to fit any of your needs and changes you’d like to make!

Your ACM does not resemble any other…
